Speed variation

Due to how difficult and irritating it is to line up your perfect shot, only to find the ball releases at 9mph into the gutter, why don’t we shorten the range of speeds your shots can go at. Say… Your slowest shots go at 80% of your maximum? That way you can finesse a shot to cover more boards, but when your speed misses, it still knocks down pins.
